Blue Box Technical Services was originally formed in 2007 to address an ever growing technical need in the technical field of Entertainment Production, with a strong focus on the educational sector.

Back in 2003, the British government announced plans to ensure that every secondary school in England has "facilities of 21st Century standard" within the next two decades (Source: BBC News). This commitment to education has now paved the way for local education authorities and schools across the country to draw up plans and new proposals for modernisation, new facilities, and completely new schools built from scratch.

These exciting new developments include plans for purpose built Theatres and performance spaces, recording studios, radio and TV stations, media suites... facilities that only a few years ago students could only dream of having access too!

Existing councils, Local Education Authorities, and school staff, who may not be technically minded, face a daunting and uphill challenge trying to design or "spec-up" such technical facilities to meet their school's current and potential future needs, whilst ensuring the best possible value for money. A task made more difficult by companies & suppliers bamboozling you with technical jargon, and trying to sell you products that you don't really need, and end up never using!
